Hey guys, arrived in Salem on Tuesday night. Yesterday chilling at Yercad. It's just 31 km away from Salem, Bus will take around 1 hr 30 mins but cab is quicker around 1.15 hrs. Bus ticket costs 26 bucks, but cab fare is up for negotiation. Plenty of buses, vans, and cars available. Accommodation in Yercad is pricey especially during weekends, rates can double up! Taxis and autos in Yercad suck, man. They charge a minimum of four figures even for short rides. Entry fees everywhere - 20 bucks for the lake, pedal boat for 200, rowing boat for 400 to 500, and motor boat for 600 onwards. Better grab a cab from Salem if you're with family or a group of 4. Today, I'm in Salem in the morning and heading back at night.
