if maq majn along with panambur port was under swr way earlier then vsg would have been developed much more
First step is to get MAQ MAJN Panambur out of SR PGT. For the time being, attach them with Mysore division.
As and when new MAQ division is carved out, it can have jurisdiction from Kasaragod to Karwar plus Mangalore to Hassan. New Hassan Chikkamagaluru line and upto Kadur can be in New MAQ division. This will ensure 600 kms criteria.

Yes. SR cannot have it's jurisdiction from east coast Chennai to west coast Mangalore. Let them leave Mangalore to SWR. Let them concentrate on TN and KL.
See This SR must have MAS, SA, TPJ, MDU, PGT & TVC Divisions.
