Yo, where should I begin... A much-awaited trip? Nah... How about a trip to check out the cool vibes of the Indian Railways? Wait... Let's keep it simple yet classy... A trip onboard the fastest trains in India - the Vande Bharat Express. It's been like forever since I wrote a trip report. Not that I didn't want to, but all the trips have been pretty boring, except for my April 2019 trip on the newbie Rajdhani Express from Mumbai CSMT to Hazrat Nizamuddin. The Vande Bharat Express promised me another exciting and diverse journey to look forward to. So, my trip started taking shape when I had to go to Kodaikanal for some urgent stuff. I hopped on an Indigo flight from Mumbai to Madurai. After finishing my work there, I had to figure out how to get back home to Mumbai. I randomly checked for a train from Madurai to Mumbai, but there were big waitlists and low chances of confirmation. I did some rough calculations and realized that wasn't gonna work. Flights from Madurai to Mumbai weren't helpful either. All the convenient flights were fully booked, and the only option left was some expensive late evening flight. Just when things were looking bleak, I checked for a flight from Namma Bengaluru to Mumbai and it gave me a glimmer of hope. If I could make it to Bengaluru, then I had a chance to ride the beastie I was really looking forward to - the newbie Vande Bharat Express. Not only would it get me to Bengaluru, but it would also be a dream come true to finally experience this train. Now, I had a bunch of unanswered questions floating in my mind. How do I get from Kodaikanal to Chennai Central? Is there a train that can drop me off at least 1 hour before the Vande Bharat Express departs? Will I even get a confirmed ticket? Madurai se Mumbai train search ki toh mujhe waitlist dikh gayi, confirmation ki probability bhi kam thi, aur available quotas se rough calculation karne pe samajh aaya plan drop karne ka. Madurai se Mumbai flights bhi help nahi kar sakte the. Convenient flights ke seats sab book ho chuki thi aur bas kuch mahenge seats late evening flight mein thi. Namma Bengaluru se Mumbai ka flight check karne pe mujhe araam mila aur tabhi sab cheezein apne jagah pe aa gayi. Mujhe pata tha Bengaluru ho toh mauka hai ek beastie ki ride karne ka jiska besabri se intezaar kar raha tha, Vande Bharat Express. Jo mujhe Bengaluru pohochane ke saath saath meri lambi intezaar wali khwaish ko bhi poora karne ka mauka degi. Ab mere dimaag mein bohot saare unanswered sawaalon ki parakast thi.
