Also slot is good. It's like a clone of 12741/42 in terms of stoppages and speed.
SWR had put up proposal to run 12741/42 daily in last year IRTTC however due to slot sharing issues it did not materialize. Now I think this slot should be free and 12741/42 frequency should be increased to atleast 3 days a week and run in this slot upto MFP.

SETC/TNSTC buses available every 15-30 minutes. Local bus 20 Rs fare. Express bus 40-50 Rs bus fare.

The vertical lift portion of the bridge has been making slow progress and has a long way to go. Once that is sorted, the rest of the works will be completed. Track has been laid upto that point from mainland. Realistically it should be ready sometime in 2025.
