ssastronaut~ 919 blog posts12071/72 Hingoli Janshatbdi should be converted into normal Super Fast Express and should be named as "Sant Namdev SF Express" (संत नामदेव सु.फा. एक्सप्रेस ). This will enable IR to introduce general tickets in trains and will benefit the people. Anyways many stoppages have been introduced for this train and train no more qualifies as Janshtabdi Express.
Maintainence will also be pathetic now. Already it was not good.
Its not good because of RSA with Panchavati Express. Incoming Panchavati from Manmad is turned around at CSMT and goes as Jan Shatabdi to Hingoli, then back from Hingoli the next day to CSMT where it is turned around again as Panchavati to Manmad.
This whole RSA was meant to clear one rake from Mazgaon pitlines, which has resulted in this condition of 12071/12072 Jan Shatabdi Express.

It's PM shifted to Manmad post rake sharing with Jan Shatabdi and hence the quality detoriated. It reachesate night at Manmad so I don't think overnight maintainence is worth there. Post Hingoli now it will be more worse.
Instead of extending this to Hingoli, they could have run an overnight train or regularised NED-LTT Special via HNL with better timings
12071/72 should be run between Nanded & Mumbai covering the distance in 8.5 hours which would be worth of Jan Shatabdi category train. Rake could be handed over to SCR with PM @NED.

SHC/DBG wont fillup. KIR may be partially filled up due to Malda given it doesnt run exactly after NJP VB or NJP shatabdi
DBG will v sure hit... Many mithilanchal peoples are there living in Kolkata... Afternoon departure from DBG will cater DBG, SPJ, BJU paseengers and they will prefer this train for fast connectivity...
Yes SDAH-KIR will v flop bt if railway plan to run SDAH-SHC VB via MLDT, KIR, PRNA, then it will definetly be a good train for that region specially PURNEA paseengers
Koaa Dbg Maithili itself took years to get decent patronage as it was a day time train. The demand between Kolkata - Bihar is mostly for overnight trains actually with Patna being the only exception. That section can easily fillup another reverse VB
You r right... Bt now flight to kolkats from darbhanga is always booked.... So VB can be a better option too for the pasengers
