The concept of Duranto Exp is to provide non-stop point to point service. If this train is running half empty it should be discontinued rather than have a Duranto Exp with stoppages which is quite absurd. Then there will be demands for intermediate stoppages for all Durantos. If need be it can be replaced with a super fast express with limited stoppages between Nizamuddin and Chennai.. Another reason for this train not becomimg popular as someone else has pointed out is that you waste almost 2 days in travelling unlike 1 day as in the case of Tamilnadu /GT Expresses.
In any case I didnt ask why AP. My question was why only AP which is quite different.
Because rather allowing every stop as commercial stop....one stop is good...still you can feel it as a Nonstop train feel...
Let us propose to inter change timings of TN/GT with FIRST ELEPHANTA DURONTO of South in the ensuing RLY Budget.It will be SUPER HIT.
