1. If you are travelling towards Indore from Mubai and finding Avantika waitlisted, then just try using this train. Book ticket from KJT (Karjat) with boarding at Vasai Road. Generally, this train is RAC when Avantika is waitlisted. When heavily waitlisted both are so...
2. Now if you stay towards Mumbai Central from Vasai Road, then reaching Vasai Road could be a challenge in evening peak hours.
Here comes real tip: Reach Borivali Platform 2 before 6:37. A local will come from Virar side and it will become 6:53 slow for Vasai

Road. Get in with your luggage and get down at Vasai Road, as it is last station. One more problem you will face at Vasai Road is to walk between large crowd with luggage on squeezed platform to reach foot over bridge to reach desired platform of Pune Indore.

the tip is excellent, however catching the 18:53 to BSR isn't easy as 2 locals from CCG terminate at BVI at 18:46 and 18:52 respectively. Many people who travel further north use the BVI local rather than VR/BSR local for lower crowds and then change over here.
