You are rite they can replace the board after arrival of cheran / navjeevan and hyb / yercaud same as allepey and tvc mas exp. Then there wont be any confusion triplicate board
Replacing boards on both sides of a 24 coach rake daily is nt a gud thng..no staff like to that..
MAS - TVC AND MAS - ALLEPEY they are doing like that but it is not 24 coach.
May be an electronic display will do , similar to the Chennai MTC buses . In that the driver enter a code for the route then the Displays change . Similarly the guard can enter the train no , so that the destinations can be changed in all 24 coaches
Guess it will happen after some years. All ready some trains have digital board in certain compartments like 12601/2 which has RSA with 16627/28
