Kaushik Biswas 1 blog postsAs this train reaches NJP at night, many passengers may require to stay the night in station. Retiring Rooms are mostly not available but dormitory beds @Rs. 50/- are available on the 2nd floor. Bookings are done on Platform No. 1 ground floor Ticket Collector's office, while payments for the same can be made in the ticket counters outside the station building.
Going by the timings of the present Shatabdi running,the timings are such that the train can be availed by the people of Siliguri City and its near Sub-Urbs.If a Jan-Shatabdi/Shatabdi is being run in the timings reverse that of this shatabdi and be run upto New Coochbehar,then extensive areas of NBengal can be covered.Places like Dhubri(Lower Assam),Bamanhat,Dinhata,Dhupguri,Falakata,Maynaguri,Jalpaiguri,Alipurduar will come under its ambit.This can be run with the help of old ICF Jan Shatabdi coaches or the present NJP-HWH AC express(cancelling the RSA with NDLS-HWH YUVA EXP).Timings-HWH-05.00AM,MLDT,NJP-12.00PM,JALPAIGURI ROAD,NEW MAYNAGURI,DHUPGURI,FALAKATA,NEW COOCHBEHAR-02.00PM..........NCB-03.00pm,HWH-11.30pm.........
