Thank you...I anyway took the risk of getting on at Panvel and it paid off...The train halted for about 45 seconds, good enough for me to get in...Just my lucky day I guess as I did not see anybody else take the risk...
You were lucky. However i recommend you do not repeat it again.
Many a times, trains have an unscheduled stop or atleast slow down sufficiently at suburbs. You can definitely fancy your chances at getting down, but would be risky if trying to board.
