Try catching from OLD delhi itself.. 5 min from metro.

I took it from old delhi itself successfully with some hiccups
Thanks to NR for not more delay to reach your train to ndls. Eta 14:40.
In fact all delay was till kanpur.... It ran non stop at good speed from kanpur to new delhi in 5.5 hrs
