It was 8 years back when 2103 Pune-Lucknow SF Express rolled out of PUNE Junction for the first time( On Oct 6,2006). And 2104 Lucknow-Pune SF Exp made its maiden Run from Lucknow (On Oct 8,2006).

The train has become so Superhit that to cater its Rush a separate train was introduced in the recent interim budget but hasn't started running yet. Rather it is running as Special these days.

In view of its increasing Waiting List and high demand the train was Augmented with an 3AC Coach in April,2014.(which use to run with train as BX1). And the extra coach SE1 is still running with train on its every run.

The present condition is that, if you don't book a ticket in 60 days ARP you might not get a confirmed ticket (be it peak or non-peak season) especially in AC classes.

I have travelled in this train more than twice a dozen times.

(Although the info regarding its inaugural run is not being displayed on the site but I know it because my family friends travelled in this train on the inaugural day).
