rahul_kir^~ 7051 blog postsGuys need your help. I want to understand seat allotment logic in some of the trains like this (15622), where all tickets are issued as GNWL and there is no RLWL, PQWL or RSWL quotas in this train. Some situations:
1. If I take ANVT-KYQ ticket, it comes under General quota (GNWL).
2. If I take short distance ticket like ANVT-GD, it also comes under GNWL. What is railway's logic behind this?

But does PRS system pick up automatically that X no of seats are getting vacant at GD (or any particular stn), and that many arrivals from GD should be given seats automatically?
Or TTE allots these vacant berths to other RAC or GNWL passenger after GD?

when the chart gets prepared at ANVT then only the gaps created gets filled up according to WL..
ex GNWL 26 gets down at GD & GNWL 38 is from GD to KIR & GNWL 10 is from KIR to KYQ.. all 3 will be cleared with CNF & a seat alloted to them & thus they will get subsequent removed from WL..
It may also happen GNWL 33 who is from ANVT to KYQ might end up in WL but GNWL 38 gets cnf due to short distance..
