I am a regular travel to kukke subhrmanya every year i travel twice , this train after extending to karwar has been never on time to SBHR the departure time is 23:00 hrs but it is always come late by 1 hours worst gets delayed by more than 4 hours , this time it was my worst expreience as i had take my 11 months son to visit but while returning it was delayed by more than 5 hours and also no transportation avilable if u want to return back
From SBHR the last bus to railway station is at 7:00 pm and after that only some autos and jeeps play and they jam pack like sheep's Advice not to take children...
more... , ITs better to return by bus and not to prefer train on your return journey from SBHR to bangalore
No waiting rooms , no electricity with no proper generator backup, mosquitoes kills and also lot of small insects roam around since this station is located deep inside jungle and that too its very cold
Also there is one RPF personal there to guard the station and also the duty station staff is not coperative at all worst some passengers asked to give some place for infants to rest in the room which was locked the Station Master refused FYI there were around 200 passengers to board the train on 13/11/2014 all small children and infants were left to sleep on the platform with no proper waiting rooms no water to drink no food at all , there is small canteen which served till 11:00 pm and all the water bootles and tea got finished and he closed and went away and we were all left with no water food and tea and if we need to buy anything we need to go to subhrmanya only also at subhrmany also shops and business close at 9:30 PM only bus stand is crowsded and stall are open till 11:30 pm till the last bus departure to bangalore
ADVICE TO ALL PASSENGERS WHO ARE TRAVELLING FROM SBHR TO SBC NVER TAKE THIS TRAIN ON THE RETURN JOURNEY IF YOU WANT TO TRAVEL GO UP TO MANGALORE CENTRAL AND TAKE THIS TRAIN AT 8pm IF ITS IS DELAYED ALSO YOU HAVE OPTION TO GO BACK AND WAITING ROOMS ARE GOOD AND GOOD HOTEL NEAR MANGALORE CENTRAL.
we had to cancelled the tickets and retun back by a auto which had come to pick up the passengers for the morning train from SBC to SBHR which charged us 450RS to subhrmanya from sbhr station at night around 3 pm
Also when we asked for refund the station master denied and said that train would be coming and its only 2 hours 45 minutes late but the train did not arrive even after 4 hours it only came at 2:30 AM and i did not want to travel as it would get further dealyed on the ghats and in between mysore section
so i surrendered my ticket and raised my voice and should him the refund rules on my mobile which as a railfan saved the PDF after this only he agreed and next morning again i had to go to the station shelling out 50 Rs to and fro to get the refund what waste of time and money
Also when i reached SBHR next morning sharp at 7:30 am the SM asked me to come next morning at 8:00 AM for refund the booking clerk only arrived at 8:30 am in the morning and denied me my refund the train was at the station at right time and when i asked him to check with the SM who was on night duty and i wnet to the SM room along with him and asked the sation master on duty at what time the train left mangalore and what time it reached at SBHR then he sent me out and they spoke after that he agreed for full refund.
