See i have traveled on a rac ticket and i have this doubt. I paid for the full ticket but i traveled on a shared birth. This means railway has taken twice the money for this berth. Is there any provision to claim half refund of ticket onnwhich half berth is alloted?
you to thank railways as it has given atleast shared berth with respect to heavy waiting list...kindly travel in unreserved coach of the mentioned train and u will build a temple for the person who prepared the chart on that day
There is no such provision. If any reserved person not turned up then the RAC person will get the berth. If no vacancy no berth.
And BTW if I had to travel in unreserved coach, why would i take pain to book a tickt and give money to railways 2 months in advance on which they will earn intrest and at the end wont given services too.
seems, u r travlling for the 1st time in train. Secondly, would you not pay the fare in a bus, if you do not get a seat ? or did you not pay the school fees, in summer vacations, when schools closed for 45-50 days ?. Come on, be practical. You could had cancelled the ticket. THe railways did not pressurise you to travel. If you got a W/L 2 months ago, you could had booked a Tatkal quota seat and travelled in a full berth of your own. Maybe, you could had taken the seat with you, since you bought the seat :p
