Both of these routes are feeder routes of Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor and Western Dedicated Freight Corridor respectively. What according to the documents and conversation with railway staff, I am assuming these sections would or should be doubled by or before 2018. As freight capacity on both routes are being projected to increase substantially. Where Dhuri is the intersection point of both the feeder routes.
