In this Video AJNI WAP 7 30310 is attached with 12152 Samarsata Express from Kalyan(As WAP 4 of this train is dead) and hauled it upto it's last destination Mumbai LTT.

Samrasta gets WAP4 SRC end to end. Thane CSTM is still under DC traction so Mumbai Howrah Mumbai doronto express still need a loco change at Igatpuri in Up and Down direction. Its a matter of few more months when trains leaving or entering CSTM will see WAPs too…

A news is "aired" that Crew members of SRC ELS are presently undertaking the training of handling and maintenance of 3 Phase Locomotives(WAP 5/WAP 7). Do you know any info regarding this training. If anybody know about this please provide the update.
Don't know my wish of seeing WAP 7 in SER will fulfill in my lifetime or not.

i stay quite far from SER zone, so info nahi hai mere paas on that issue.
Although three phasers will enter and operate there, its just a matter of time. For all our affection to WAM/WAP 4, there is no way we can overlook the advantages of Induction motor based locos and so soon to bring in change Three phasers will have to breach in SER too :)

Agreed with you. Neither I am overlooking the advantages of Induction motor based locos nor neglect their utility. I just want "Three Phaser will rest in SRC along with WAP 4, WAM 4 etc and used in SER with conventional Locos like ER and other Rail Zones. I just want the following loco links for SER Zone trains:(Please see the following List)

Good suggestions Sir! I would just like to add that when SER starts getting WAP7, I think, out of the 35 trains you've mentioned, the first 23 should be given priority in getting WAP7.
The big advantage of an induction motor over a DC traction motor is the ability to haul heavy loads at low speeds. For simple conditions though, like for a shatabdi with a small rake and few or no halts en route, while technically induction motors are still better than DC, unless there is any compelling difference between the 2 locomotives in terms of HP, MPS etc, it's not a big advantage.

For Durontos and Shatabdis, the halts are few ( or none) and the rakes are small (for shatabdi), practically there should be no difference in running with P4 or P7. The additional HOG facility of P7 if implemented should make a difference but from what I've read, it is not good enough to power an entire A/C rake.
We should definitely aim to move towards induction motor based locos, but for now at least, the priority should be given to normal express trains/crawlers/passengers to get P7s. For the high speed segment P4/P7 can be used in tandem. It would be a cruel waste of money and technology if P7's are put to use in a segment where their main advantage over the P4's is not really useful (and 3-phasers are very costly indeed).
