Started from Platform 10 of NDLS at around 9 pm, already late. We were informed about our seats by SMS earlier that evening (seats in AC 1 not assigned prior to chart preparation). We got a coupe right in the middle of the coach. I was expecting a WAP7 miracle but it came along with its usual HWH WAP4. Our H1 coach was a mismatch, it was of the Rajdhani livery. It was a bit old for an LHB coach, but very neat indeed.

Ghaziabad we were served soup followed by dinner and we enjoyed a race between our train and the app 8 hrs late JSM-HWH Express. I must say that the quality of food was exceptionally good considering the food of Indian Railways. But it would be good if they introduce some variety in the flavour of ice-creams.
Morning struck at MGS where we met the WB Sampark Kranti and overtook it eventually. Breakfast was delicious. It's really great that they serve Twining's tea along with the amazing breakfast menu. We sped past Dehri-on-Sone and Gaya at top speed, trying to make up for the delay in schedule. It started raining heavily when we reached DHN. Even though it's a technical halt, few people got down at DHN. They served us complementary lunch at DHN which was equally grand as the dinner.
Our train raced along the rain-drenched tracks enjoying the foggy winter of Bengal. When we got to SDAH delayed by 4 hrs 15 mins, it was still an amazing experience. The hospitality of AC1 in Duronto is an example of how trains should be.
