Ofcourse yes, your name will appear on the chart if the confirmed and unconfirmed ticket belong to the same PNR. Inform TTE before boarding itself and he will allot a seat to you based on availability.
Doesn't railway rules state that Partially confirmed ticket holder names under same PNR too appear on the chart and thereby enabling them to travel? Is that rule different for Shatabdis?
If he/she boards the train where can he/she sit & adjust in premier trains WL holders are not allowed as per rules...May be if its a train with sleeper berth accomdation WL pax could adjust berth with CNF passenger only if TTE agrees,which they usually allow..
