I agree that the tracks from Burdwan to Asansol via Durgapur are getting saturated. I am proposing for separately new double electrified tracks that can start from Dankuni and head straight to Asansol for joining at the ASN Cabin's outer. Those tracks can be capable of 200 Kmph and if not a Gatiman then at least a new Howrah - Gaya Shatabdi can start on such a speedy corridor and then proceed towards Dhanbad. The new corridor can bring down the 3 Hours Non-Stop HWH-ASN Run to about 1.5 - 2 Hrs or so... this is my proposal :)
Actually, I am rating some stations that fall en route of the Durgiana Express as per my personal experience so I bumped across this locked blog (and many other such locked entries).. :)
If this is the case then my opinion is....
This line should be constructed from santragachi to bankura.... completely on the other side of Damodar to avoid mote no of Industrial farms and coal blocks of the region.
This will benefit.

This can be connected to the new line from bankura to bwn to the other side to get linked with ASN at last.
