-------------- My Solution to Use the 3 Phase Loco Fleet of IR Effectively in all Important Railway Zones of IR ---------------
It is a "Truth" that You require "Special Training" for Operating,Handling and Maintaining 3 Phase Ac Electric Locomotives(i.e WAP-5,WAP-7 & WAG-9) and in Indian Railways very few Loco Sheds and Loco Pilots are master in this technology as a result of which the entire fleet of 3 Phase Locomotives can't be utilised effectively in many cases. If you see you can found only 20 to 25% trains are hauled by 3 Phase AC Electric Locomotive in the entire Indian Railways for this "Training" Issue.

my opinion if every "Rail Zones" of IR can arrange for "Training" of their Loco Pilots and Loco Shed Staffs at CLW Workshop by the Senior Engineers of CLW(Both Electrical and Mechanical) then I think all the staffs(Both Loco Pilots and Shed Staffs) can have a Practical experience regarding
1 3 Phase Loco Operation
2 3 Phase Loco Handling and
3 3 Phase Loco Maintenance
4 Upgradation of Respective Loco Sheds with modern facilities of maintaining "Conventional Locos"as well as "3 Phase Locos"
This training may be conducted by Various Zones for their "Important Locosheds" based on "Govt Work Orders" issued by IR.
After completion of this training all the trainees(Both Loco Pilots and Shed Staffs) of respective Zones will be provided "Certificate Of Vocational Training on 3 Phase Locomotive" by the CLW Authorities, so as to enable them to work on 3 Phase Locomotives in their respective Loco sheds and the corresponding Zones too can sent requisition to IR for allotment of 3 Phase Loco to their respective Loco Sheds on the basis of this Training Certificate.
If such type of training is provided then the present 3 Phase Loco Fleet can be used effectively almost in all Important Railway Zones of IR.
The Loco Sheds which urgently require Upgradation with modern facilities of maintaining "Conventional Locos"as well as "3 Phase Locos" are as follows:
1 Santragachi(Zone:SER)
2 Kharagpur(Zone: SER)
3 Narkeldanga(Zone:ER)
4 Erode(Zone:SR)
5 Itarsi(Zone: WCR)
6 Kalyan(Zone: CR)
7 Vijaywada(Zone: SCR)
8 Kazipet(Zone:SCR)
