Filthy indeed. Getting there got the better of the little bits of hygiene-o-philic tendencies (or whatever you call them) we had. The road leading to the station is a (not 'is beside a') messed up sabzi Mandi where the demarcation between sewage area and vegetable stands was as unclear as is the one between the indian style commode and the rest of the area in the sleeper class washroom of Awadh Assam Express. In short, yeah it was a bad call.
