What is the rationale behind automatic cancelling of wait listed eticket? why cant IR leave it to the people to decide whether to cancel the ticket or have it as it is , so that we could travel with the WL ETicket at least in General class
You take a WL E-tkt take a printout, later cancel it online and travel with WL tkt printout.
How will TTE verify whether you cancelled it or it is live ?

TTE know the rules that E ticket cancels itself after charting done i have face this thing i know the wl cancels itself but with e ticket printout i have boarded in 12859 Gitanjali on Feb month from CSTM to DURG, the TC fines me 150rs/- and instructs to deboard on Kalyan otherwise i will be fine upto Howrah because E ticket is canceled and i am boarded without ticket. so please atleast take General Class ticket with WL E-ticket to secure you by TTE fining.
