i know that there are separate quotas for separate classifications. but, all major trains have ladies berth quota allotted separately. you can just try that quota. i do not know whether 2155 has a separate ladies quota, but that was just a suggestion for all bloggers who may not be knowing that. i have availed that facility in peak time. thats why i informed here. thanks.

yes you are right, one must check the availability also in ladies quota before booking
All ladies quota berths are not lower berths.
Generally a coupe (6 berths) will be reserved to ladies. if there is no sleeper coupe available in the entire rack, then there will be no Ladies quota in that train. That is why Ladies quota for any given train is only 6.
Hope this clarifies.

as per Mr Venkat
only 2 lower berths will be available against 6 berths in lower quota

i am afraid mr venkat is wrong. there is no coupe nowadays in any train which used to be there in the 90s, but the quota is still there and so are lower berths. he can chk it out and all major trains have it. i have nt seen a cabin coupe for 6 berths for so many years now, like it used to be once upon a time, during my criss crossings all over. may be i did not come across.
