I have AC chair car confirmed tickets for 3 persons (including 1 child of age 6 yrs), if I book a WL ticket, can I travel in the same compartment (AC CC). Is there any problem ?
No problem! But the child have to share his seats with the W/L and you should consult with TTE

And take PRS Waitlist ticket only as E-tickets are automatically cancels.

you can, but your tkt should b counter / PRS tkt and NOT E-TICKET. Secondly, TTE should approve your traveling with WL tkt. Which train and where to where
