A few facts about P7 :-
1. The loco was never 'designed' by CLW. It's basically a WAG9 with modified gear ratio (72:20) and a few software changes. Now, Adtranz designed and developed a WAG9 :P
WAP5 was designed and developed by ABB. It's a true high speed loco as ABB planned and developed this loco for the same purpose.

After Sept 2015 CLW will produce only IGBT Based 3 Phase Locos.

Exactly! This is a step in positive direction. It'll improve the efficiency and effectiveness of three phase locos :D
But, I have a deep concern about the wheel related issues of WAP-7 when it continuously increasing speed and overtaking as noted in Entry#1572347.
CLW needs to design WAP-7 in such a way so that the problems of it as discussed in Entry#1572347 can be totally avoided in this huge network of IR.
Is advance version of WAP-7 i.e WAP-7D is required like WAG-9H ?

I think WAP7D project has been dropped in favour of MUed WAP5 project.
MUed WAP5 (WAP5 twins) = 11000 HP, TE = 52.6t, Braking Effort = 32.6t
Above all - Speed of 160-200 km/h can be exploited with heavier loads.
