********* Enormous Monetary and Environmental Savings made by 3-Phase Electric Locomotives *******
So if 300 Locos can save 100 million units of energy annually in 2012 then
933 Locos as on Oct 2015 can save (100/300*933)=311 million units of energy annually now as per this Statistics as noted in the main BLOG
We have now 933 3- Phase Locos in IR's Loco Fleet (

If 300 Locos can save 105 tonnes of CO2 per annum on 2012
Then 933 locos can save (105/300*933)= 326.55 tones CO2 per annum now.
In 2012 we have total 300 3-Phase Locos
In 2015 we have 933 as of now so (933-300)=633 Locos in 3 years i.e 211 per year..........
(Multiply the 311 million units by per unit cost of electricity and you can see the enormous savings in money made by these Locos)

** Also shared the Video of Panto Down and Panto Up Mechanism of LGD WAP-7 by ON and OFF the "LSDJ" Switch of Panel A or Driver's Panel of the Loco as the loco and train move from one Power Sub-Station to another to avoid OHE Voltage Fluctuations**
LSDJ is the Switch in Panel A or Driver's Panel of every 3-Phase Loco(i.e WAP-7, WAP-5 & WAG-9) which is an Indication lamp, if it is red then it means that the Main circuit breaker of the Loco is “OFF”
