Remember, this train has no pantry. (I am saying this as if, all trains with pantry serve good food & all the food that needs to be given as per IRCTC menu, is indeed served - I have seen NONE, so far) And this train is NOT at all recommended for Long Distance travel. I traveled in this train on Oct 12, 2015 from KUR to TPTY, and from there I was bound to reach Bangalore by road. I was duped at many places for food enroute.
A) Firstly, BEWARE of a vendor on-board, who sells cashew nuts (or any and many other things seasonally), somewhere before/after GUDUR Jn. The packet mentions 1 KG Net Content, but it is indeed less than

450 grams. And then all the CASHEWS visible from outside seem good - but once you open the packet, every single NUT inside is spoilt - rotten. And the A/c coaches are full of Railway employees - right from KUR to TPTY - and one of the railway employees actually helped me (rather the vendor, whom he, perhaps, knows since years) to negotiate a good price to buy these BAD cashews. I had to empty all that into the dustbin.
B) DO NOT TRUST THE IN-HOUSE COACH attendant - who says he will get you good food from outside - all the food he gets from outside is of Average quality and he charges 300% extra to cater to his personal food and/or alcoholic/tobacco needs.

And this person is from Tirupati but is basically a Marwari - So he speaks fluent Marwari, Hindi, Telugu and also Tamil.
