Current reservation facility diya hai shayad, you'll get convenience of confirm seats from PTA itself if available, its actually boon for PTA pax.
its a good move as lot of commuters are left in lurk as they couldn't buy current sleeper reservations. And why to let SL coaches to run empty, when there is a solution. And regarding profit, dear, railways is here to make profit only, not social service :)
Yes definitely it will be useful for people of Patiala for sure.
