I think that passengers must be going forward from samastipur to non electrified section like jaynagar side etc. May be?
Sonpur-spj passenger train also has been converted to a demu in place of a memu which is a totally electrified rpute..
This is a newly electrified section.
Jo bhi trains DEMUs mein convert hui hai sare diesel route pe hain.
Ek bhi train complete electrified traction pe nahi hai.
samastipur - muzaffarpur direct passenger to nahi hua convert.

SPJ-DBG/HPO are non-electric..DMU for these route will b utilized for other routes, even if thy are electric (for sake of Maintenance scheduling @ SEE)!!
