akshu51 775 blog poststhis largely unpopular train is the fastest rail connectivity between delhi and bangalore, and often berths will be available even tiil the last moment, maintains excellent speed for most part of the journey except the tough gradients of SWR between DMM and YPR, but still manages to beat the rajdhani by one hour in terms of speed.(with similar halts, but of technical nature)

But as the train slows down in NDLS I have seen many people throwing their luggage onto the platform and getting down there itself
This train along with the likes of indore intercity and GT exp should originate from NZM.It will increase its avg speed on paper and also reduce congestion on delhi tracks.
Earlier this train used to run via DSJ from DEE (via ring railway) later it gets diverted unnecessarily via NDLS without giving halts at NDLS or NZM. Diverting this train via DSJ and giving halt there is also good it will reduce congestion NDLS-TKJ stretch & would be easier for south delhi passengers to board this train.
