DC Equipment is not removed! It's just electrically isolated from the rest of the circuit. If any equipment / part / component is removed, it will affect the static and dynamic balancing of the loco. Hence, Equipment is kept as it is, however, wiring connections are disabled.
WCAM1/2/2P/3 and WCAG1 Dual Voltage (AC/DC) Locos have two pantos only, one to be used in AC Traction and second to be used in DC Traction. More details can be found out at IRFCA FAQ. Please click here

They were clearly saying this conversion shud happen asap so that dc equipments can be removed
