There are total 4 Pf.
Pf 1: Its the Pf which is at the entry building and the main exit gate from here only. Intercity trains Baghajatin passenger (both up-down), Dhauli express (Puri bound) and BGY BBS express (BBS bound) comes on this Pf. This also acts as a loop line for freight or other train, which are to be overtaken by some other train.
Pf 2: Its NOT an island type Pf. All the main administrative and commercial offices like GRP-RPF station, Postoffice , Parcel booking , Waiting halls etc are present...

here only. On this Pf , the trains coming from HWH/KGP side and going towards CTC side comes. This is on Main Line (Pf 1 act as loop line for overtakes).
Pf 3: Its an island type Pf. This is also on main line itself and the trains coming from CTC side and going towards KGP/HWH side comes on this Pf.
Pf 4: This Pf is used as a loop line for the overtakes. If a freight or express train is to be overtaken, then its towed on Pf 4 and the other train overtakes from Pf 3. But sometimes there comes exception. All the passenger train going towards KGP are brought on Pf 3 only (Not on any pother Pf). So if an express train is to overtake a passenger train, then it has to overtake from Pf 4.
Now here at BLS station, only 2-3 trains pass by without halting, like MAS HAZ Sangrami and PURI-SDEAH duranto, or else all other every train halts here.
