The tech halt at Amla was there for TN as well but in Up only. It was for loading dinner from the base kitchen. Once the kitchen got shifted to Itarsi, this halt was no longer necessary.

Main isme travel to nahin kiya hoon but have heard great things about it. It was fondly referred to as the Blue Bullet and was a source of pride for folks from AP. I will classify it as a legend, no doubt! When I was traveling from Madras to Patna in Dec. 1989, I crossed the double-headed AP Exp. somewhere between Balharshah and Sewagram and felt so good seeing it!
