Here is my capture of the AP Exp. in 1995 while I was in the BPL Shatabdi loco. Led by a fancy looking WAP1, all 21 coaches had a uniform cream-brown livery and it was doing good speed even in heavy train.

R u sure about mid 80s I have travlled during this year what I found was only Maroon livery, Kerala, TN, Gt had orange-cream livery
I definitely remember seeing Kerala, Karnataka, GT, TN in that livery. I think I saw AP with this livery in 1989 but I could be mistaken.
Yeh Maniji you are right all SR railway have special livery - in 80s our family was frequent traveller with 123/124 SC-NDLS-SC AP Express specially my father he used to travel every month, we observed AP with maroon livery only I was jealous with SR as why not SCR has also Unique livery like SR
Sir, I had downloaded all these BPL Shtb & Tamil Nadu Exp videos from your IRFCA Page during my high school days when I had a painfully slow Dial-Up Connection. They were awesome videos and I used to watch them repeatedly since there was no IRI in those days for the weekends. Even the AK and BCT Raj Exp and WAM-1/2/3 videos from ASN ELS taken by you were awesome. I just don't understand one thing that why didn't IR run WCM Giant Locos between BCT and BRC during DC days for trains like the BCT Raj?

Thanks for your compliments :-) The reason for not using the DC locos is that DC traction ended at Virar and they really did not want to have a loco change there. Hence, IR developed the dual-current WCAM1 which could run from BCT all the way till ADI.
