Just track upgrades should be enough for SRR-MAQ to be 130 kmph capable. EMD's and GOC toasters are already cleared for 130kmph operations. Electrification is not necessary for upgrading this route to 130kmph.
Is PGT SRR 130mps??? I can see trains run really fast in this stretch and do cover the dist in around 45 minutes though travel time allotted for almost all trains is more than 1 hour but never knew that it was 130mps.
It would be good if some time can be reduced. I think to attain higher punctuality percentage, trains are given more running time

No PGT-SRR is 110kmph only. I just mentioned that IR can upgrade the stretch to 130kmph
In SR , SA-MAQ , MAS-JTJ are capable. As per an insider information , we are not getting proper budget allocation to strengthen rail due to obvious reasons.
Yes that is what am telling.. I don't have much experiences in SA-PGT route.. But I can assure that PGT-MAQ is one of the best stretch if railway really interested to Upgrade the mps.
