The food in this train is BEST. Poorva and Kalka mail have average food standards, but this train have brilliant food. All varieties comprising from Veg Meal, Egg Meal, Fish Meal, Chicken Meal, Biryani (Egg/Veg). Do specially try the Fish Meal which is just good option for fish lovers.

1st night , enjoy the Chandni Chowk Parantheor chicken or anything you wish.
Next day onwards , this train's pantry will start giving excellent food. Menu is same as that of other trains , but the quality and quantity is just good.
Only thing that i didnt liked much is the Tea and Coffee. The standard of Tea and Coffee is average. Felt like there was no Milk or Milk powder at all in it.
But still if Tea/Coffee is over-shadowed , the rest everything is brilliant. Seems like there is some Bengal/Kolkata based catering service in this train's Pantry.
Majority of time this train reached SDAH late at night (1-2 instances are there of On time arrival) at about 8-9 pm , still this extra time also Pantry people were seen selling the snacks (Chips/biscuits/Cookies) , so that "No halt enroute" logic doesn't makes your tummy pain with hunger.
