I don't know about oldest train of ECoR zone but Neelanchal exp is older than Purushottam exp.

I think Neelachal was introduced somewhat near about in the time span of 1985-1990.....But Purushottam was introduced in 1980..This is confirmed...
Its your blog, so your decision to decide the criteria but i just wish inform you that if you are making any Zone Wise Oldest train, then You CAN NOT consider the zone allocation to the respective train at time of inaugration. You HAVE to consider the PRESENT zone allocation like Chennai Mail while at start was under SR, but you have to tag it under SER only. Same is with Kalka Mail. While at the start it was under GIBR , So that doesnt means you will tag kalka mail under GIBR. You have to tag it under ER only.
