This is the point where NR and NER tracks diverge[NER ones go via the Lucknow City while NR ones go direct to LKO].Due to the merging of tracks, trains make an unscheduled halt here sometimes. Local vendors are available. The station is pretty empty and has a laidback feel; makes for a good RF[the tracks from NER side curve while coming in, so trains make a slow entry].
