It is high time IRCTC to allow passengers to choose their seats as in flights do. Isn't it feasible? Or is there any other technical issues for that ?

Identifying the number of seats would not be an issue. They can mark few seats as "NOT AVAILABLE" for booking. It may be because it is already booked or not available for their Quota.
Nothing will be an issue except when people see out of 192 III AC berths only 28 are available for them to book, they will be perplexed.
They can also assume that remaining seats are already booked..

No one will come to know how many seats are available for each quota. User will just see only those seats are available at that point of time. It would be assumed that remaining seats were already booked or will be shown in website as it is already booked
