The thing i am not able to understand is effective load on the line would be total of load from all running loco's active on the track at same time, so when calicut janashatabdi or any freight is not there on the line there is almost zero load...
As written in an article in Deccan Chronicle it will take quite some time before starting of electrified services.

If there is a problem with substations then they can atleast run 12081 / 82 with e loco to save change over time at SRR.
No doubt railway is hiding the actual reason. The CAN JS can be run at that time CLT JS will not be in the line also.
Maybe there is a loby who is against this shift happening immediately and want to delay as much as possible, could be loco pilots/staff who might be affected.. or food stall/vendors who benefits from these 15-20 minute halts at shoranur
