Jammalamadugu is the closest Railhead to the Indian Grand Canyon, Gandikota Canyons and adjecent Mylavaram Dam on River Pennar & 13th Century Gandikota fort. All fall in the same route and Its about 15 kms to the town and one can hire a Shared Private transport or hire a taxi and Auto for a day long trip. There are many trek routes in the Canyon and its a thrilling hike. The Famous block Buster from SS Rajamouli, Maryada Ramanna staring sunil was shot in and around Gandikota and & Mylavaram dam.
