Raghu V~ 3076 blog poststhis train is a classic example of 2 extreme sides of SWR.
Positive side: Train is maintained great with OBHS present and SWR leaves no stone unturned for its maintenance.
Negative side: A rare train from Mangaluru to Bengaluru and is packed on all days. Its beyond anyone's imagination why SWR has neglected this sector for decades. Can anyone imagine only one or two trains between MAS and CBE? such is the scenario between SBC and MAQ...

not sure, never traveled in the route. But have seen videos, train cursing at lesser speed. scenic locations, with additional locos
90Kmph is the max till hassan(that too it touches rare, bcz of many unmanned LC,curves),beyond till SKLR <80....and in SKLR-SBHR max 20-30
There are more than 200 buses between SBC and MAQ, during festivals it doubles. But still 10trains per week. That too the weekly YPR-MAQ cannot be counted to cater to MAQ passengers. To counter HMRDA, atleast SWR and SR can coordinate and run a superfast having average speed of 65-70Kmph via Erode, but no such proposal. SWR is ready to contempt High Court orders but dont want to run a train:(
