Planning for a visit to JOG FALLS,then follow these couple of guidlines
1.Alight at SRF/Sagara Jambagaru.Bcz Sagar(locally called) has good restaurents &transport facilities(no second thought jus get down here)to Joga(jog falls).
2.Private transport:Jus outside the station you will have cabs ready.hire a cab for UP/Down ride(I haven't seen any private buses,visited 10-7-2016)
Public transport:Sagar bus stand is jus 400m away. limited...

You can find Ksrtc Buses just outside the main exit, these buses halt for 5 minutes for train passengers, takes about 45 minutes including a 10 minutes tea break. no need to walk 400 meters, all buses pass Jog falls main gate, there are many sharing mini buses too
Mini buses weren't there yesterday(Sunday)they may be available on weekdays..even I took ksrtc bus to joga which dropped me at jog falls main gate ticket price was Rs 33..spent there till 5.30....when I came there to travel back to sagar I didn't even find at least one mini bus or empty cab,at last after 2hrs I was in a situation to ask a family for lift to sagar,so that I catch my train to sbc
When you reach Jog falls main gate, you should check with security guards info about return transport, that's what we did.
