There is one more bad news that passenger rate and freight rate might increase from 1st july by 5% to 10%.

let us hope it happens what you have mentioned. but we have to wait and see what happens on 1 st july?
Prices can be increased as the target of the former RM Is achieved ....
We havent seen a fare increase for a long time-Railways wll also need revenue so a 15-20% increase is quite a viable thing-think they can increase passenger fares rather than freight because if freight is increased it will lead to higher increase in our commodity prices
pax fares are votes but freight votes arent....
But I strongly feel that there should be some hike in pax fare also as they have not been increased since ages...IR does need some money to implement things in a better faster manner...
