SION station in Mumbai has 4 platforms. I wonder what the reason could be, since only slow trains halt at Sion. Express and long distance trains use a different track altogether.
My question is, what was the reason they might have built 4 platforms, when 1 island platform would have been sufficient (as mentioned, fast trains do not halt at Sion anyway).
