Why this Train Halts at Tirupparankundram for more than 1 hour as Madurai jn is just 7 km from this railway station.even people can catch a bus or auto and can reach there in appox 20-25 mins.

thats slack time given for passenger trains normally at the end of their journey. this helps them to cover up any delay encountered during journey
