बिलासपुर। छत्तीसगढ़ में शनिवार को देश की सबसे लंबी मालगाड़ी चलाई गई। माल लदान का टारगेट पूरा करने के लिए यह मालगाड़ी भिलाई से कोरबा तक चलाई गई। इसमें कुल 180 वैगन लगे थे। यह तीन मालगाड़ियों के बराबर है। यह मालगाड़ी दो किमी से भी ज्यादा लंबी थी। यह बिलासपुर स्टेशन से 8 मिनट तक गुजरती रही। आमतौर पर एक मालगाड़ी में अधिकतम 60 वैगन होते हैं।

भिलाई से यह सुबह 10.45 पर चली और दोपहर 12.50 पर बिलासपुर स्टेशन पहुंची। यहां रेलवे अधिकारियों की वैगनों की संख्या गिनते-गिनते आंखें चौंधिया गईं। 40 किमी प्रतिघंटे की रफ्तार से दौड़ रही यह ट्रेन यहां 5 मिनट बाद भी पार नहीं हुई। चार इंजन, तीन ब्रेकयान और 180 वैगनों वाली ट्रेन को यहां से गुजरने में पूरे 8 मिनट लगे।
दोपहर 1 बजे के करीब बिलासपुर से निकली यह ट्रेन दोपहर 3 बजे उरगा से पार हो रही थी, तब पहली रैक के 36-37 नंबर के वैगन को जोड़े रखने वाला कपलिंग टूट गया और ट्रेन दो भागों में बंट गई। चूंकि ट्रेन ट्रायल पर थी इसलिए सुधार दल ट्रेन में ही मौजूद था। ट्रेन मौके पर 15:03 बजे से 16:15 बजे तक खड़ी रही। पीछे की रैक को अलग किया और दो रैक के साथ ट्रेन आगे बढ़ी, जो शाम 4:30 बजे कोरबा पहुंची।
if railway can ensure safety there is no problem in running such trains.

Calling this as a single largest goods train is 'kidding' and childish efforts of IR.
When they are deploing four engines to pull the 180 wagons, it speaks of the weakness of engines. They could have avoided the breakdown, by making four trains of 45 wagons each and proper Single engine.
This is no way to call it largest. The way India boasts of Largest Democracy of the World, people are 'laughing', same is the case with this 'largest train'
