Reduced overcrowding in reserved coaches is a minor benefit by chance for flexifare paying paxs. They had been hit hard by "danda" and the benefit is just a "kambal" and nothing more.

Ac coaches r already lucrative.... ...now it's a need of time to hike the fare of sleeper and general class.......
For eg- fare of 500 KMS is around 460 Rs in roadways....but in railway...general is 155+15 superfast charge....and in sleeper.. fare is 300+ 30 Superfast charge.........in my view railway should charge 50 paisa per km in general and in sleeper ...should charge 80 paisa per km.......according to this ........for 500 KMS journey.... general fare would be 250 rs and in sleeper ......400 Rs...........still cheaper than roadways.......

Many intelligent people are not willing to understand this fact/solution for reason best known to them.
Railways shall break even (as far as the surge pricing is concerned) i.e. collect revenue equal to normal fares with 100% occupancy if 76.7% of seats are booked with surge price for ACC, SL, ACII classes and 78.6% of berths in ACIII class. Any booking less than thatthis level is a total failure of this pricing policy.
