I agree with u tvc mail Mangalore should be given but within tamilnadu nellai and Pearl city are desired. Blue mountain or niligiri has limitation has the train has to made into two parts and cheran having RSA with navjeevan.if u say long distance then TN GT Kerala Navjeevan from SR.
Yeah for these trains LHB is desired. Last week I travelled in TNSK/TN Express. Both trains had coaches from 1990s but were neatly maintained on the inside. As for Rockfort/Pandiyan, they had far better coaches which were 14 made fitted with biotoilets & charging points but will rarely be used. Still, SR has its own way of doing things.
Long distance trains were nt given LHB due to the lack of Pantry cars
Now MTP station is remodelled to accommodate 24 coach ,
Not just pantry cars but also time taken to procure 4 rakes including spare coaches is more and some rakes needs to kept idle for months till all the coaches arrive. It happened with trains like purushottam and Bangalore rajdhani express. The pity thing is they started using it for new weekly express trains though they are scheduled slow defeating the purpose of LHB. As production capacities is being ramped they started giving to 2 rake trains and hope 4 rake long distance daily trains also get LHB in future.
